I'm Back!!

File:Bill of Rights Pg1of1 AC.jpgSorry for the hiatus, I've been focusing on the things important to me, family. Things are beginning to settle back into a groove and now it's time to get back to my old critical self! It looks like it's going to be a year full of topics for me! The constitution is under attack. We as a nation cannot stand for this assault on our freedoms that were placed there by our founding fathers to limit the scope of the federal government. Right now, as of this writing, this administration has alluded to attacks on the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Tenth. Our way of life is in jeopardy and it is we the few dissenting voices that will stop those who attack it.

If I had the opportunity to sit down and chat with President Obama, I would simply ask a few questions. We know he would not be able to give us an honest answer for fear that he is looked upon poorly by his base, but it would be nice to know the answers. He steers clear of questions by the media because his answers are never coherent. He did poorly in the debates, he stuck to his talking points but most of them didn't stick to the topic.

My first question would be this: "President Obama, you stated that not raising the debt ceiling was akin to Congress going out to dinner and not paying the bill. I ask you, is it morally right to go out to dinner and ask our grandchildren, some of whom are not born, to pay the bill?" I'm sure that his answer would be a mixture of 'ums' and 'ers' without his teleprompter or help from his handlers. Why is fixing the troubles of NOW outweigh making troubles for the future? It was a younger Senator Obama that stated "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a Sign that the US Government cannot pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. ...Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that 'the buck stops here'. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and Grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

Is that true President Obama? Do Americans deserve better?

Another question that begs an answer: "President Obama, why do you ignore statistics when it directly disproves your ideological stands? Gun control has time and time again been dis-proven in the public arena. Locales that adopted gun controls saw no dicernable improvement. Gun free zones are routinely targeted by individuals who choose to do harm to our loved ones and still you champion this cause. Why?" A quote from  Sammy "the Bull" Gravano he stated  "Gun control? It's the best thing you can do for crooks and gangsters. I want you to have nothing. If I'm a bad guy, I'm always gonna have a gun. Safety locks? You pull the trigger with a lock on, and I'll pull the trigger. We'll see who wins." Is gun control about safety or control? When you, Mr. President walk, drive, fly or for that point take a crap, I'm sure that there is a Secret Service Agent close by with a gun. They will tell you that it's about CONTROLLING the situation.

And the last questions I'd like to ask: "Mr. President, what's your beef with America? Why are you so bent on changing the way America and Americans do business, live and play? Did something happen in your life that places you above our way of life?" We've come to recognize the progressive movement for what it is. A faction that preaches acceptance and collective individuality (I know, oxymoron) is neither. If we don't see the world through the progressive liberals limited lens then we are a threat. The President's comments this week on the media and people that are working against his agenda illustrate this.

History has shown us that those that shout the loudest in opposition to those who preach change were criminalized. People that spoke against Stalin, Hitler, Mao and in recent history Chavez, al-Assad, and Ahmadinejad were and are imprisoned, tortured or put to death.

I'm willing to take the chance to adhere to our Constitution. Are you?

That's my two cents, spend 'em or put 'em in the dish for the next person.
